This is a show I could really use some help with. It was part discussion/seminar, Q&A and performance. And it was all good.
Simon is a master musician who plays the 'oud and violin in a variety of styles, though my favorite work of his is The Music of Mohamed Abdel Wahab
. The event was part of the annual International Festival of Arts and Ideas which takes place in New Haven. I don't have anything from this event other than some great memories. If you have handbills, photos, links to online info or (is it too much to ask?) a recording, please let me know.
